Cristina Garcia

Dear prospective student,

When looking for a change in life, and finally one finds it, next is to search for the how and where. Surfing on the internet, one may find many possible academies to learn how to become a butler or a house manager. But one quickly discovers that the only possible place to go to is The International Butler Academy. A Unique, exclusive, and professional school situated in the village of Simpelveld, in Limburg, in the Netherlands.

After having done the application and after the joy of being accepted, then comes the excitement to travel there and meet other students from different countries from all over the world. One wonders if one will get on well with all of them. ln my case I was delighted - fourteen different students from thirteen different countries.

All these students go to TIBA and bring their own different cultures; therefore, different ways of doing things. No Worries. This only means that we, the students, can learn from one another. And most importantly, to respect each other.

At TIBA, during the ten weeks, you will learn technical skills, eĆ¼quette, protocol, valeting, household management, grooming, and much more. It might seem that it is never ending; long days, short nights, a lot of coffee, and Nutella. You will laugh, cry, and find out it is hard work. But if you think about it, what is easy in life? Nothing. My mother and grandmother told me that "hard work has never killed anyone." And here I am, stronger, wiser, and with a TIBA diploma. Age is not important.

You may also apply, after you have passed the course, to might go back as an "intern." Here again, it will be hard work, but if you have, as I do, motivation, dedication, energy, passion, and commitment for what you do, whatever it is that you do in life, you will succeed. Remember, "Where there is a will, there is a way."

And all that was managed under the watchful eye of the CEO (with forty-plus years experience), as well as under the guidance and protection of the Executive Head Butler and trainer.

Finally, I must say that TIBA is not only a center of excellence, it is also a family. A Family that is part of our life. It is there to guide, help, and protect us. it is a memorable experience that changes lives. TIBA is and always will be a part of me. With my love, respect, and loyalty to it.

Thank you to all and each of those who were there, my classmates of the program of September-November, 2022, and my fellow mates of the internship of January - March 2023."

And my best wishes to all those who decide on TIBA.

Sincerely, Cristina Garcia - Spain
