Except for a working knowledge of English, and a minimum age of 18, no previous training or experience is required. "School English" is fine. We are a butler school and not a language school, and your English capabilities will not be graded. Of course you must be able to communicate in English, and understand the lessons that are all in English. Gender, age, race, sexual orientation, religious background, prior education or background are not important either. The easiest way to apply for the training program is to email us, or upload your Résumé (Curriculum Vitae) plus a recent photo, and indicate when (which 10-week training program) you wish to attend. You may also fill out the on-line application form. After we receive your Résumé and photo, your information will be reviewed by the Admission Board. The Admission Board consists of the Chairman of the Board, the Executive Director, and four core trainers. Within a matter of days we will then inform you if you have been accepted to the training program. Sometimes a telephone and/or Skype interview might be required.
We will gladly assist you with the application procedure in case you have any questions or concerns, or if something is not clear. Please note that we are less interested in your background, but much more in your motivation, your willingness to be of service to others, your personality and character, and your attitude. We want to know if you are willing to go the extra mile to be successful at our school. We want you to be successful, at school, and later after you have graduated.
Note that the provision of highest standards of excellence by The International Butler Academy imposes a strict limitation on the number of places available on each training program. This enables the Academy's instructors to concentrate on the individual needs and aspirations of each and every student. You should apply for a particular program as much ahead of time as possible.
A deposit fee of 750 Euros is required to confirm your participation, with the remaining sum of 13.750 Euros to be paid no later than 60 days prior to the start of the program. All fees are non-refundable, for any reason, but may be applied towards a future training program in case you must reschedule, fall ill, or have a personal situation which forces you to postpone. Upon request we will gladly email you the formal document concerning our payment policy, otherwise we will assume you fully understand the above paragraph.
