With multi-year renovations underway, the manager will coordinate logistics, maintain continuity of service, and support the transition between properties. Responsibilities include vendor and staff oversight, household manuals, procurement, errands, and occasional light meal preparation. Event coordination will expand as the stables are converted into an entertainment facility. The position also covers travel logistics, vehicle maintenance, wine cellar organization, and pet care. Candidates should bring prior household management experience, strong organizational skills, discretion, and fluency in English and Dutch. Italian language ability and basic culinary skills are a plus. Reporting is to the principals’ representative, with supervisory duties over a gardener and collaboration with a long-serving housekeeper. Compensation begins at €65K+ annually, with benefits including paid leave and vehicle access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and overall management of the residence.
  • Ensure household readiness is maintained between visits of the principals.
  • Create and maintain household manuals.
  • Liaise with the business office to coordinate household financial matters and manage bill payments.
  • Support logistical planning throughout the multi-year renovation phases, including the mid-2026 transition from the main residence to the secondary house. Ensure continuity of service throughout.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, temporary staff, and maintenance providers across all household functions.
  • Coordinate with entertainment vendors, chefs, and catering teams for informal gatherings. Broader event oversight will be required once the dedicated entertainment facility is operational.
  • Light meal preparation on occasion is welcomed, though not essential.
  • Procure, stock, and manage household groceries, supplies, and consumables.
  • Run household errands and collect packages, as required.
  • Assist with laundry duties in collaboration with the executive housekeeper. Staff oversight will become increasingly important as the cleaning team expands upon return to the main residence.
  • Occasional driving or coordination of car services for the principals, as required. Oversee vehicle maintenance schedule.
  • Manage travel itineraries and flight schedules for household members.
  • Support the upkeep and organization of the wine cellar and inventory.
  • Assist with pet care, including vet appointments, grooming coordination, and basic handling.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in household management or private service roles, ideally within multi-residence or HNW households.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills, with the ability to manage schedules, vendors, and household operations independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, including tactful coordination with long-standing staff and external service providers.
  • Discretion and professionalism, with sensitivity to informal yet high-standard service expectations.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch. Conversational skill in Italian is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable with a guard dog on the premises, as role includes dog handling and managing pet appointments.
  • Basic culinary capability for occasional light meal preparation or brunch service is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort with occasional driving or coordinating car services.
  • Experience managing household inventories, including groceries, wine cellar, and supplies.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, especially during renovation phases and household transitions.
  • Competence with travel logistics, including flight schedules and household readiness for arrivals/departures.
  • Event coordination experience, particularly for informal gatherings and vendor liaison.
  • Ability to create and maintain household manuals, procedures, and documentation from scratch.
  • Team leadership potential, with the ability to supervise and onboard additional staff as the household expands.

Reporting Structure

The position will report directly to the principals’ personal representative. It will manage a full-time gardener and will assume additional supervisory responsibilities as the household team expands. The long-serving executive housekeeper will continue to report directly to the principals. Cultivating a respectful and collaborative relationship with her will be essential, as she holds valuable household knowledge and established preferences.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual gross salary will be €65K+, commensurate with the necessary experience required. This is a live-out position. Schedule is generally Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability. Additional benefits will include:
