Key Responsibilities:
- Household Management: Oversee and coordinate the household staff (chef, housekeeper, nanny). Ensure all operations run smoothly and efficiently, reporting to the principal and the PA. Manage the housekeepers to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the household.
- Packing and Unpacking: Assist with packing and unpacking for the principals' travels.
- Cooking Assistance: Provide basic cooking support and help maintain kitchen organization, working alongside the chef.
- Laundry & Wardrobe Management: Oversee laundry services and wardrobe organization. Knowledge of garment care, ironing, and handling delicate fabrics is essential.
- Guest Services & Event Organization: Welcome guests (and visiting family members) and assist with formal event organization. Ensure events are executed flawlessly.
- Errands: Handle errands such as grocery shopping, picking up deliveries, and other household needs.
- Administration & Inventory Management: Organize and maintain household inventory. Manage basic administrative tasks like sorting bills.
- External Communication: Coordinate smoothly with external contractors and ensure that the household operates without interruption. Maintain the security system and monitor guests' entries and exits.
- Pet Care: Provide basic care for the family pet (dog). Being a pet lover is essential.
- Staff Recruitment & Training: Assist with selecting and recruiting new household staff. Train existing staff to improve service standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a private butler or in hospitality service (luxury hotels, private estates, etc.). Experience managing household staff is highly desirable.
- Service-Oriented: A strong service-minded attitude with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commitment: Long-term commitment is important.
- Organization: Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage inventory and coordinate with external contractors efficiently.
- Prior experience with children is mandatory: occasionally assistance with the school drop off and pick up, assistance in looking after the children, helping to babysit the children (occasionally) in the evenings when the principals are out for dinner.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English. Swedish is a plus.
- Health & Flexibility: Must be in good health and able to work flexible hours.
- Driving Skills: A valid European driver’s license and experience driving are required.
- Appearance & Demeanor: Impeccable presentation and demeanor in line with the formal style of the household.
Working Schedule & Benefits:
- Working Hours: Flexible schedule based on the principals' needs. Daily working hours are typically from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Accommodation: Live-in position. The principal will provide a private room with shower facilities.
- Probation Period: To be confirmed.
