Key Responsibilities:
Household Management

• Oversee the daily operations of the household, ensuring efficiency and discretion.
• Manage household schedules, including maintenance appointments, service providers, and social events.
• Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly routines for the household.
• Inventory management: track household supplies and conduct audits to prevent waste and ensure stock levels.
• Hire, manage, and coordinate external contractors (e.g., plumbers, electricians, and painters), ensuring quality and budget control.

Guest Services

• Provide a warm welcome and a gracious farewell to guests.
• Ensure guests experience a comfortable and pleasant stay, anticipating their needs.
• Understand guest preferences, allergies, and dislikes to arrange personalized amenities.
• Address any guest concerns proactively and professionally.

Event Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute events such as private dinners, cocktail receptions, and family gatherings.
• Coordinate with vendors for catering, entertainment, and decorations.
• Manage all aspects of event planning and execution.

Table Management

• Set and decorate the table according to formal etiquette.
• Provide impeccable food and beverage service with refined table manners.
• Ensure service standards are upheld during meals and events.

Laundry & Wardrobe Management

• Care for fine fabrics and linens, ensuring proper cleaning, ironing, and storage.
• Organize the wardrobe efficiently and oversee laundry services.
• Provide professional ironing and dry-cleaning services.
• Maintain clothing, checking for any damages and arranging necessary repairs.

Cooking Assistance

• Assist the chef with meal preparation for the principal and guests if necessary.
• Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness.

Valet Services

• Shoe polishing, packing & unpacking, and wardrobe maintenance.
• Ensure personal belongings are organized and well-maintained.

Driving Services

• Provide safe and professional driving services as needed.
• Maintain and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle.

Security & Discretion

• Monitor the security system and control guest entries/exits.
• Handle all matters with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
   

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Butler in a private household or luxury hospitality environment.
• Experience in household management is preferred; however, high-end hospitality experience will be considered
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
• High attention to detail, ensuring excellence in all household services.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and family needs.
• Proactive, discreet, and service-oriented.
• Understanding of general etiquette and protocol.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Additional Requirements

• A valid driver’s license with safe driving experience.
• Good health condition and ability to handle physical demands.
• Willingness to commit long-term and uphold high standards of discretion and confidentiality.

Working Conditions & Benefits

• Schedule: 45 hours per week, 5 days per week; flexibility required.
• Accommodation: Live-in position, private room on property

• Nationality: Open, with a preference for candidates experienced in European private service.
