Dear prospective student,
From a young age, I have always had the ambition to work in hospitality. During several internships at five-star hotels, I had the opportunity to work alongside professional butlers. Observing their work, their discretion, composure, and level of service fascinated me immediately. From that moment on, the profession stayed with me.
After completing my studies, I realized I did not want to pursue further theoretical education. I learn best through practice, responsibility, and real-life situations. I wanted to develop myself further, beyond the traditional five-star hotel environment. I was looking for something more exclusive, more demanding, and more refined. After visiting The International Butler Academy and carefully considering the decision several times, I finally took the step to enroll. It remains one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Before attending TIBA, I worked for 3.5 years at a fine-dining restaurant. In addition, through my education, I completed three internships at Waldorf Astoria properties. While these experiences taught me a great deal about luxury hospitality, I knew I was ready for the next level. I wanted to challenge myself further and push my limits, both professionally and personally.
During my research, I briefly looked into a few other butler schools. What immediately stood out to me was that many programs required extensive self-study of theory before allowing students to attend the practical part of the training. Furthermore, none of these schools had the reputation, transparency, or standing that TIBA has built over the years. In the end, everything pointed in one direction. The reputation, standards, structure, and overall professionalism made The International Butler Academy the obvious choice.
From the very first days at TIBA, it was clear that this was not a traditional school environment. Expectations were high, instructions were clear, and standards were uncompromising. The training is intense, both mentally and physically. One of the biggest challenges for me was the lack of sleep, but this quickly became one of the most valuable lessons. You learn how to perform, think clearly, and maintain professionalism even when you are tired. This is not taught in theory; it is formed through experience.
What motivated me greatly was the recognition and reward for effort, discipline, and dedication. Your commitment is seen, measured, and acknowledged. This creates an environment in which you continuously strive to be better, not for praise, but out of pride in your own standards.
The biggest change I experienced after completing the program is my mindset. I now have the firm belief that if I truly want to achieve something, I will find a way to make it happen. No matter the obstacles. In addition, I reached an entirely new level of professionalism, discipline, and self-awareness. Even today, when I face challenges or moments of doubt, I often think back to my time at TIBA. It reminds me that I am capable of far more than I sometimes think.
My advice to future students is simple: prepare yourself well. Visit the Academy if at all possible, set a clear goal for yourself, and be honest about your motivation. Knowing exactly why you are there will carry you through the difficult moments.
Lastly, I would like to emphasise that the staff at The International Butler Academy truly take care of their students. They understand that the program can be demanding and that moments of doubt or fatigue may arise. The support, guidance, and motivation provided by the staff make a significant difference and help you regain focus and determination when needed.
I am sincerely grateful for everything TIBA has taught me, and for the person it helped me to become. I am proud to be an Ambassador of The International Butler Academy and would make the same decision again without hesitation.
