Mr. Munro is a trained butler, and a National golf champion. His real passion, however, is the theater, and it is this passion that links him to our Academy. As a trainer, Mr. Munro is specialized in training body language and expression, rhythm, speech, and service situations. Through drama classes and body language training, he is able to bring the students a wealth of knowledge about posture, decorum, style and grace, all pillars of the private service profession.
Mr. Munro was born in 1971 in Brussels, Belgium. Today he holds a dual nationality; American and Swiss. Mr. Munro's childhood took him via the USA and Switzerland finally to Germany where he grew up in a large household at his parents Breeding & Training Horse-Farm. From his early age, Mr. Munro is accustomed to traveling. He visited almost every part of the world and by his parents' occupation, he learned at a young age how to behave in diplomatic society.
Mr. Munro's studies of music, dance and drama revealed to him a special talent for speech technology and body language, which he now teaches with great enthusiasm to the Academy's students. In his career as a Golf Club Manager, which he started in 2000, he gained a lot of experience in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Australia and the USA. Because of his travels, and experiencing many and varied country traditions and service styles, Mr. Munro has almost an exaggerated commitment to service. He is always looking to upgrade his knowledge. Mr. Munro participated in a German "Knigge" Etiquette training seminar, did a chauffeur training, and took specialized classes in first aid and care service.
Mr. Munro completed his studies at the International Butler Academy with Distinction. His hobbies include art, theater, opera, literature, architecture, politics, business, horse riding, tennis, archery, winter sports and professional golf. Mr. Munro's personal philosophy of high-quality service is to make the impossible possible, always with maximum politeness, attention, courtesy, and with appropriate restraint, confident manner, a clear language and the knowledge of etiquette. The art to provide the best service possible, and to do this as invisible as possible, is the great balancing act of a being a professional butler.
