Guest instructors are much-appreciated lecturers of The International Butler Academy. They are highly qualified professionals who enjoy teaching our students what they know. Some of our guest speakers and lecturers are working butlers, placed in their current position by our own recruitment division. These butlers are not listed below. They provide our students with vital, to the point and accurate information of the life "above" and "below stairs".
Guest instructors include, but are not limited to;
Paul Ketelaar is Manager Executive Driving for an exclusive company that has a variety of international, private and corporate clients. He has many years of experience with professional executive driving services. Paul is also a consultant for the CBR, the official Dutch driving license organization, where he is responsible for the content of the driving examinations. In a very full and very busy day program, Paul teaches our students executive driving skills, with a solid balance between theory (all morning) and practical exercises (all afternoon).
As the Brand Ambassador of The Edrington Group's whiskey portfolio and former bartender for the Amstel Intercontinental Hotel, Bram Kaplan is responsible for The Macallan, Highland Park, and The Famous Grouse. Bram, who holds a bachelor degree from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, spends a full afternoon with the students, teaching them about (great) whiskeys. A generous tasting of some of the more famous brands is part of the lesson. A most enjoyable afternoon indeed.
Rutger Rietbergh is a specialist in tailored men's suits. Rutger believes a unique wardrobe should be accessible to everyone. His mission is to give people the freedom to choose their own style and reveal their personality through their outfit, at an affordable price. The primary benefits to the customer of made-to-measure clothing are that the garments will be well-fitted to the customer's body and the customer may customize the fabric and detailing. Rutger enjoys teaching our students about made-to-measure suits and the Etiquette involved with wearing fine clothes.

Mirjam Ackermans and Myriam Nelissen are professional and licensed sports instructors and personal trainers. Time permitting, the two ladies will spend one or two hours each week with the students, teaching them about the importance of fitness and exercising with them in our own sports Gym. The two ladies are firm believers, as are we, that a healthy body will give a healthy mind. Students who are interested may use the professional equipment in our own Gym during the time they are staying at our home.
