March 7, 2008
Friday, March 7, 2008 thirteen students graduated
with honor. Upon graduation this group handed over
a Letter of Reference to The International Butler

January 2008
The Board and staff of The International Butler Academy
are pleased to announce that on January 1, 2008, the
school moved to a new location. The location is
called "Slot Zeist". Slot Zeist is a Landmark Castle
located in the city of Zeist in the heart of The
Netherlands. This is a tremendous upgrade for us and we
thank the City Council of Zeist for its trust and
confidence in The International Butler Academy. |

Millionaire Fair at the RAI convention center
in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The International
Butler Academy decided that it will also be present at
the Fairs in Belgium (April) and Germany October). |

On December 9, 2006, staff and Graduates of The International Butler Academy (TIBA)
acted as hosts at the
Prinses
Beatrix Gala which took place in Noordwijk in The
Netherlands. TIBA was asked to participate to
ensure a
smooth running of the event. TIBA also donated a
"prize" for the auction that evening. |

El Sheikh resort in Egypt. The Savoy Sharm El

awarded a six-weeks contract to train the service staff and
assist with the opening phase of the top luxury and
brand-new 46-all suite
Qasr Al Sharq (Arabic for Palace
of the Orient) hotel, set to officially open in Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. This hotel is a true
palace with meticulously opulent details adorning every
corner. |

Heavy and unexpected snowfall caused logistical problems
at our school. Most people who were at our school
this day were forced to spend the night. However,
our butlers made sure everyone was looked after.
When you are snowed in, you might as well enjoy superb

This weekend The International Butler Academy undertook
a management training for Essent (www.essent.nl)
. Essent managers learned about the finer point of
service. Teambuilding exercises were a major part
of the training also. |

October 29, 2005
Graduation today. However, this time not a
"normal" graduation. Students were given the choice of a
normal graduation (formal affair with lots of guests
attending etc.) or to have a brief ceremony at
school in the morning plus then spend a fun day in
Amsterdam (together with TIBA staff including a
three-hour bartending course (The Int. Bartending School
of Amsterdam) plus a fabulous Japanese dinner to end it
all. Students opted for the day in Amsterdam. |

Switzerland, France, England and The Netherlands.

Esperanza resort in Mexico. The
Esperanza is a sanctuary for reflection and rejuvenation

colorful history and heritage of regional Baja Mexico. |

Graduates of The International Butler Academy were in
charge of F&B at the 4th of July celebration at the
American Embassy in The Hague. There were some
3.000 guests (!) attending this high society event,
including most members of the Dutch government
(including the Prime Minister) and many
dignitaries of foreign countries. Pictured to the left

students graduated the June/July course of 2005. Normally a
class is never larger than 9 students but in this case a
client requested training of staff members. These staff
members became part of the regular course. There was
one unmarried couple on this course. During the
Graduation Ceremony on July 2 the man of the couple
asked his partner to marry him. She accepted.

June/July, 2005
In
June and July, 2005 a
five-part documentary about The International Butler Academy
aired in Germany and France. This series was a co-production
of ARTE and ZDF. There will be several reruns of the series
to look forward to . This
documentary was filmed, with full cooperation of the
students, during the September/October course
of 2004. TIBA wishes to thank the students for their
