We of course understand that one of your key concerns is the overall cost of the course.  We strive to keep the course as affordable as possible, while still providing the best hands-on education available.

Everything is included in the tuition fee. Please read on.

How much does the training cost and what is included?

• The total cost of the eight-week butler course is 13.750  Euros.

• A deposit fee of 750 Euros is required to confirm your participation. The remaining sum (13.000) to be paid no later than 60 days prior to the start of the course.

• We also reimburse up to 50%  of your airfare to and from The Netherlands.

• As you will find on this page, truly everything is included in the tuition fee.

Why did we decide to calculate this way and why is everything included? The answer is that once you are studying with us you need not to worry about all the many extra's students end up paying at other schools. With us everything is included. Simple. We also arrange superb accommodation for you rather than leave you to your own fate, with you ending up at an overpriced and perhaps inadequate accommodation. Students living together is also an important part of our overall curriculum.

Your investment includes, but is not limited to;

• Eight weeks of superb course instruction by devoted, ultra professional trainers, at an exclusive training location.

• Accommodation for the duration of the entire eight-week course.  Accommodation is a single bedroom (you have your own private bedroom) in a luxury, fully furnished apartment.  You share the apartment with a few fellow students.

• Outstanding meals and beverages during the entire eight-week course, including meals and beverages on days off.  Please note that everything is included; breakfast, lunch, dinner, fresh fruit, hot and cold snacks. Even soft drinks, candies and for instance pizzas are provided for.

• Traditional, high quality butler uniform, including two white shirts (French cuff), TIBA apron, TIBA tie, TIBA cufflinks, suspenders and at least two pair of white gloves.

• All transportation while at school, including all field trips (including to Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and France) , plus pick up from, and delivery to the airport and/or train station.

• Up to 50% reimbursement of your economy class air travel to and from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

• One large (real leather) pilot-briefcase, writing pads, TIBA pen set, office supplies and more.

• Wine bottle opener, TIBA knife, TIBA umbrella, TIBA pocket watch, personal manicure set, personal shoeshine kit and more.

• A professional photo series of you in full uniform (taken on Graduation day), taken by a photographer who works for magazines such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and Elle.

• Complete photographic overview of your entire stay at TIBA, from day one to graduation.

• Plus a unique and valuable gift upon graduation.

Once you are at our school there are no additional charges. None. There are no additional curriculum charges or any "hidden costs".  Nothing!  Considering the excellent salaries professionally trained butlers earn, plus the opportunities on the international job market through our affiliates as well as our own recruitment division the tuition fee is a solid  investment in your future. Note that we are extremely proud of the way we have structured the tuition fee and that everything included is of high quality. Guaranteed.

Also important to consider

Training takes place in a unique 14th century Castle called Kasteel Oost. The location is very important for our role-playing and also to give you the feeling of where you might be working in the future. Students have access to all school facilities including the school's extensive library. The International Butler Academy uses only the very finest and most expensive Chrystal, China, Silver and more. During your training with us there will be numerous events where you, your fellow students and the trainers will be part of. From very formal dinners to casual lunches, from a lovely wedding to an afternoon tea, you will experience it all.

Don't be fooled with programs costing less. Consider the overall picture. Read the letters of reference some graduates wrote and you will understand. These students did their research. Do yours and invest your money wisely.

Travel reimbursement

We wish to make sure that students decide on a school because of the school's qualities, not because the school is around the corner. When you sign up for a course more than three months before the start of a course you will receive a 50% air travel reimbursement from us. in case a student signs up for a course less than 3 months before the start of the course the reimbursement is 25%. In case a student signs up less than 2 months before the start of the course, or joins a course which is "full", there is no reimbursement. Travel reimbursements are only eligible when payments are received on time.

Students who are expelled due to their own negligence, misconduct or who leave the course before graduation are not entitled to a refund of any kind. Deposits are nonrefundable if the student decides, for any reason, not to attend, but may be applied towards a future course.
