I was introduced into private service by
luck in 2003, and it was the best thing that could
have happened to me. Working as an assistant to the Estate
Manager/Head Butler, of a high profile formal family,
motivated me to perfect the art of service for my employers
expectations.
Because of my loyalty and commitment to
my employer, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime, to
attend any Butler/House Management School in the world, all
expenses paid. With
this opportunity, I had to make sure I attended the best
school. After only a couple hours from the start of my
research, The International Butler Academy caught my
interest. I needed not to look any further. Not only did
TIBA’s website already have all the answers for any
questions I had, but it had links to other Butler Schools. I
felt that if TIBA is confident and humble enough to
advertise for their competitors, then they are the right
school for me. The tuition seemed high at first, but factoring in all
the accommodations and a generous reimbursement for travel,
