In the Damask Weaving Mill you can have your precious damask laundered, pressed and folded. The damask weaving mill, dating from 1852, is the last hand-operated weaving mill in which pure linen damask is produced according to traditional methods. Because of its many supplies to the Royal Household the mill was given the predicate 'Purveyor to the Royal Household'.

The educational program corresponds with the theme's and topics found in school programs. Technique is covered by the textile techniques like spinning, weaving and knitting. History is treated form different viewpoints: the history of the textile industry, the city and the region, home and factory labor, the industrial revolution but also more recent events. The exhibits give insight into design, art and crafts.

The Dutch Textile Museum is unique as a "museum in production". Students are not only allowed to watch, they can also touch the fabrics and take turns at several of the machines.
